Three Ways To Worship

Spiritual Truth for Living:
Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. ~Psalm 100: 2-4

God loves to hear our worship! He longs for our attention and our adoration. Worship is not just for Sunday mornings. God wants us to incorporate worship into our daily lives.

God even gives us instructions in His Word on different ways we can give Him our praise.

I spend a lot of time reading the Word, and praying. But my worship and praise is usually reserved for church, or occasionally when I hear a good worship song on the radio.

When God answers my prayers, I feel happy and excited but my natural reaction is not to start praising God for his goodness. In the Psalms, the psalmist is constantly offering praises to God. There is a balance between scripture reading, prayer, and praise.

Today, I’m going to share three ways to worship God and give Him glory as you go throughout your work week!

1. We Can Worship God Through Song

Psalm 100:2 tells us to “serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing.” You don’t have to be on The Voice for God to smile when He hears you sing. “For it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant, praise is beautiful” (Psalm 147:1).

2. We Can Worship God with Instruments.

We all have different talents and abilities and many folks are gifted with the skill of playing an instrument. God wants us to use those talents to give Him praise. Even if you can’t play an instrument you can use your hands to clap and tap your feet to keep rythm. Grab a tambourine. Make a drumb out of an empty oatmeal container. Have fun with your worship. God loves our creativity.

3. We Can Worship God With Our Lips

If singing and instruments are not your thing, that’s totally OK! God also instructs us to speak our praise. We can use our lips to speak beautiful words of adoration for our LORD. Hebrews 13:15 says, “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.”

There you have it, three simple ways to offer up praise wherever you are. Why wait till Sunday? Let’s give God praise all throughout the week.
